  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped dill pickles
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, onion, pickles, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well mixed.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
  4. Lay turkey bacon slices over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the bacon.
  6. In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard for the glaze; spread over the meatloaf.
  7. Bake for about 1 hour or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
