  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 sub rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef with breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Form mixture into meatballs (about 16-20). In a skillet over medium heat with olive oil, brown meatballs on all sides for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour BBQ sauce over browned meatballs and let them simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
  5. Slice sub rolls lengthwise and toast them in the oven for about 5 minutes.
  6. Assemble by placing meatballs inside the toasted rolls, topping with extra sauce and shredded cheese.
  7. Return subs to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes until cheese melts.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
