  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional: chopped spinach or bell peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Form into meatballs.
  3. Brown meatballs in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente; drain.
  5. Combine pasta with two-thirds of marinara sauce and some Parmesan cheese.
  6. In a baking dish, layer remaining marinara sauce, half of the pasta mixture, half of the meatballs, and cheeses. Repeat layers.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes; remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until bubbly.
  8. Let rest before serving.
