  • 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups pizza sauce
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup mini turkey pepperonis
  • 2 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and half of the Italian seasoning.
  3. Brown each side of the chicken for about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Transfer browned chicken to the baking dish. Spread pizza sauce evenly over each piece.
  5. Sprinkle remaining Italian seasoning on top, add mozzarella slices, and layer with turkey pepperonis.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly.
