  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • For the Salted Caramel Sauce: 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in granulated and brown sugars until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and vanilla. Gradually add the butter mixture while whisking until smooth.
  4. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt; mix gently until combined.
  5. For the caramel sauce, melt granulated sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat until amber. Add cubed butter and stir until melted. Slowly mix in heavy cream and sea salt; stir until smooth.
