  • 2 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 sandwich bun, toasted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Pound the chicken breast to an even thickness for uniform cooking.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken with garlic powder and black pepper. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dredge the chicken in flour, then egg, and finally breadcrumbs before placing it in the skillet. Cook for about 5–7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
  4. While cooking, toast your sandwich bun until lightly golden. Top the chicken with Swiss cheese and chicken deli meat; cover briefly to melt the cheese.
  5. Mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard in a small bowl and spread on one half of the bun. Assemble your sandwich by adding the grilled chicken and cheese mixture before capping it off with the other half.
