  • 1 ½ lb Ground Beef
  • ½ Medium Cabbage, shredded
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 5 Strips Turkey Bacon (or vegetarian alternative)
  • 1 tsp Basil
  • ½ tsp Thyme
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • ½ tsp Rosemary
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Freshly chopped Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and crumble it; reserve 1 tbsp of grease in the skillet.
  3. Add butter to the skillet with reserved grease. Stir in crumbled bacon and shredded cabbage until coated.
  4. Pour the cabbage mixture into a greased casserole dish.
  5. In the same skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Season with oregano, thyme, rosemary, basil, salt, and pepper.
  6. Layer browned beef over the cabbage in the casserole dish.
  7. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
