  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (or 325°F for dark/non-stick pans).
  2. Prepare a 9"x5" loaf pan with cooking spray and parchment paper.
  3. Separate the biscuits into halves, yielding 16 pieces.
  4. In a bowl, combine sugar, lemon zest, and poppy seeds.
  5. Melt butter; brush on both sides of each biscuit half before coating with the sugar mixture.
  6. Assemble in the loaf pan, layering them loosely and sprinkling any leftover sugar mixture in between.
  7. Bake for 30–45 minutes until golden brown; cover with foil if browning too quickly.
  8. Let cool slightly before removing from the pan.
