Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine diced apples with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until well mixed.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  4. Cut circles (approximately 4 inches in diameter) from the pastry using a round cutter.
  5. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each circle. Fold over to create a half-moon shape and seal edges by pressing down or crimping with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
