  • 1 package King’s Hawaiian Rolls (12 rolls)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tbsp milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice each roll in half horizontally and place the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, egg yolk, and flour until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the bottom halves of the rolls.
  5. Place the top halves back on to create sandwiches.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While baking, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract for the glaze.
  8. Drizzle glaze over warm danishes before serving.
